Common questions

Getting started

Go to /builder, click a template thumbnail to apply it, then fill in your sections from top to bottom. Profile and summary come first — experience and skills follow.

  • No account required to start — sign in when you're ready to save
  • Each template thumbnail shows a live preview before you commit
  • Use a blank draft or import an existing CV with the PDF import button

Save and resume

Sign in to tie your draft to your account so it's available on any device. Use the save button in the floating dock at the bottom of the builder to write it.

  • Drafts saved without an account stay in your browser only
  • Sign in before saving to make the draft portable across devices
  • Reload the builder and choose Load draft to continue from a saved version

Import PDF

Use the Import button in the builder dock to upload an existing CV. NobelCV extracts the text and pre-fills your sections — review each field after import and fix anything the extractor missed.

  • Works best with text-based PDFs — scanned images extract poorly
  • Formatting and layout do not carry over, only the text content
  • Edit each section directly after import to correct any gaps

Interface language

Switch the builder UI language using the selector in the top navigation. Your CV content is never auto-translated — only the labels and interface copy change.

  • Available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, and Romanian
  • Language can be changed at any time without affecting your draft text
  • Works on both mobile and desktop

Preview and export

Open Preview from the builder dock to see your formatted CV in a read-only view. Export produces a download-ready PDF and is a separate paid step — only when you're finished.

  • Preview is read-only — return to the builder to make edits
  • Check spacing, section order, and content in preview before exporting
  • Export is a one-time purchase when you need the final file — no subscription required
